Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 15, 2026

KoropeLagos ("we", "our", "the platform") is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of drivers, fleet owners, and union officials operating within our ecosystem. This document outlines how data is collected, secured, and utilized in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and Lagos State statutes.

1. Data Collection

We collect essential operational data to accurately enumerate the transport network. This includes:

  • Registration Details: Names, phone numbers, National Identification Numbers (NIN), and Lagos State Residency Registration Agency (LASRRA) IDs.
  • Operational Data: Assigned parks, daily route locations, and union affiliations.
  • Asset Identifiers: Vehicle chassis numbers and state license plate information.

2. Use of Information

The information collected is stringently utilized to:

  • Issue official digital identification profiles for operators to prevent impersonation.
  • Enable unit chairmen and regulators to distribute operators evenly across routes via geospatial optimization.
  • Maintain real-time ledgers for security and incident resolution.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

As an operational platform, elements of your data may be securely cross-referenced with authorized state entities (e.g., LASTMA for licensing validity, NURTW for unit assignment authentication). We will never sell your personal data to commercial third parties or advertisers.

4. Data Security (AES-256)

All biometric identifiers, NINs, and personal records are encrypted at rest using AES-256 military-grade encryption. Access to this data is strictly gated through biometric and multi-factor authentication restricted to verified administrative union and government officers.

Your Rights

Under the NDPR, you possess the right to access, rectify, or request the conditional deletion of your personal records from the platform, provided this does not violate mandatory operational compliance laws in Lagos state.
